In collaboration with the community, local school districts, and universities, the vision of BMM Enrichment Academy is to DEVELOP, NURTURE & EMPOWER adolescent and young adult males, and DEPLOY them into society to become productive men and leaders in their families and global communities.

Enrichment Academy

 BMMEA is a non-profit movement for youth, whose purpose is to provide a space for male students to develop their academic, social, and career potentials. BMMEA aim to be an incubator that will produce productive males in our community and beyond. Furthermore, BMMEA aim to be a safe space for boys to talk, be in tuned with their emotions positively, and also learn critical behavior strategies that will enable them to make constructive decisions in their life and in school. Lastly, BMMEA, aim to be a beacon light for youth development in communities locally, nationally, and around the world.

Enrichment Academy

Goals

  • Saturday school that includes academic support from certified teachers, college level students, counseling support, social development, career exploration, and recreation.
  • Students will also be engaged in a “Rites of Passage Curriculum”
  • Participants will engage in a yearly fall retreat at the beginning of each school year.
  • Collaborate with local schools of participants to develop the best support for success.
  • Participants will engage in enrichment programs, college and career activities, and entrepreneurship activities.
  • Partner with local business, local law enforcement officials, athletes, entertainers, to give student exposure to various industries.
  • Provide parental workshops, and collaborate with parents in the program.
  • Provide a mentoring component for students as it relates to their career aspirations.
  • Aim to develop a cohort model in its program, and follow students through high school graduation.
  • Summer enrichment experience (3-Days)

Student Prerequisites

  • Entering Middle School
  • Gwinnett County Resident
  • Male Student
  • Complete all BMMEA forms and personal essay (written or video)
  • Parent Orientation
